Old Boston City Hall Completed!

Old Boston City Hall - Boston, MA was built in 1865 in the French Second Empire Style. Its mansard roof and granite exterior ornamented columns and projecting central bay are inspirations for later buildings in Boston and Washington DC. The Old Executive Office Building in Washington DC in particular owes the thrust of its design to the Old Boston City Hall in Boston.
