Customs House Tower Boston, MA
Customs House Tower in Boston, MA is seen here with the Rose Kennedy Greenway in the foreground. The large building with the turrets on the left is the Grain Exchange Building built in the late 1800s. It is now an office building. Perry Dean Rogers and Partners Architects office occupies the office on the top two floors. The skylight at the base of the conical turret is in the Perry Dean office. To the right of the Customs House Tower is a row of office buildings that are as old if not more that the Customs House Tower. With the big dig finished these previously hidden from street view addresses open upon the parkway of the Rose Kennedy Greenway and the harbor just beyond. The Customs House Tower's clashing of borrowed styles were early critics' targets but is now the most appreciated high rise in Boston.
