Customs House Tower Boston, MA
Boston's first "skyscraper" is still a highly visible and loved feature of the skyline. It was built in 1915 on top of the 1850's original structure. At 496 feet tall it is Boston's 17th highest building. In 1947, the Old John Hancock Building, just one foot shorter joined it in the skyline. Not until 1964 when the Prudential Tower was built was it exceeded in height.
