Goodnow Memorial Building Princeton, MA Public Library was built in the late nineteenth century and is considered Romanesque Revival in style. The structure is designed to convey its purpose as a beacon of knowledge to the small Wachussett valley community. The gothic clock tower with its spire atop four dormers is a focal point to the town. Materials of pink granite and brownstone trim are sympathetic to the mountain top setting. Large bare trees protect the front of the library in composition as well as in physically screening sun and wind.
